HYGIENE

Hello dear readers, hope everyone is having a good February?. It's been a fascinating month for me from the daily routine of school and media. Anyways i'm not here to talk about me but one of my many concerns, hygiene.
It is basically maintaining good health to avoid diseases. Today it's something most of us ignore, they say cleanliness is next to Godliness, see even God acknowledges hygiene. When i say good health i'm not just talking about the immune system but also the environment, outward appearances and external body parts. Actually it makes sense now come to think of it, when our environment is not neat or what we ingest isn't good, it affects the immune system.
Environment; our surroundings, it should be neat, i think that's one thing most of us fail to do, we hate dirty environments but we are too lazy to clean up, some of us don't mind ,we can live in filth. It's hard but let's try, most of us are guilty when it comes to these; piling clothes, dishes, not sweeping the house for weeks, when it becomes a habit it becomes a problem. If you can stay in a house that smells damp or some other bad odor then that's extreme. You only clean your house when you have a visitor, stop being a hypocrite and be clean for yourself not for someone else. It's not difficult to be clean, when you eat, wash your plate after, fold your clothes and put in the drawer after drying, if you are tired and can't do it at that very moment, try to do it the next day, there's always time stop procrastinating, it's for your own benefit. Wouldn't you like a breath of fresh air and living in a neat house, having clean dishes or clothes when you want them?
This is something we all do, go to the market or store to buy groceries and when you get home you just start eating them without washing the fruits first, chai! "na so the hunger dey do you". Those fruits we don't know where it has been, we should be cautious about the little things, that we think don't matter. I know this saying "dirty no dey kill African man" but African man is human too and if it's harmful it would affect the body. Yea it might not be a a big deal but let's just still do what's safe. These are basic things we were taught in primary school, wash your hands after using the toilet, wash your fruits before eating and the list goes on.
Now about taking care of our body parts, this is very important. Dear people, please why would you ignore taking care of your body? my dear sisters, this our body is a very complicated one, many parts need our care. As a lady body odor is a big NO, it breaks my heart to know some girls have this, this is something that once you notice, you get rid of without any delay. I know some of us sweat a lot. it's okay but when you let it take advantage of your body then it's not okay. Water is free, not scarce, deodorant has been made available in varieties so what exactly is the problem?. Taking a shower twice a day isn't much of a job, laziness shouldn't count when it comes to this, skipping a day and not taking a shower isn't an option especially for us girls. Please clean every part of the body, there are intimate wash gels, everything has been made available.  This is an everyday routine bathing and brushing the teeth.
Sometimes during the day after closing the mouth for a longtime there's an odor, so let's try to have gum or mouth spray., so we can use. Our outfits should be neat, and presentable. If you hate ironing, fold the clothes and put under your pillow, i don't know if that works but they say it's a way to straighten cloth. Wear neat clothes, if you want to repeat clothes, please air it when you take it off, my opinion i think when clothes are soaked in sweat you should wash first, also if it's white it should be worn once per wash. Try also to clean your shoes, some shoes look like they were worn on a wilderness journey. Guys are no exception to this, it applies to you too. Take care of your body. It helps us after-all to be healthy and look presentable. Hopefully we all learn. Friends, help each other. you ain't a friend if you feel embarrassed to tell the truth. Do have a nice day and a lovely week.
